Description

Everything about databases in one book: core concepts, SQL, database design, and performance improvement. Written by an author with 25 years of experience as a computer engineer, it selects practical material so even a newcomer can understand the whole field in one book. It covers concepts of databases and DBMS, identifying customer data requirements, and designing and applying a DBMS—in other words, most areas used in practice. Rather than using mathematics or tedious theory, it teaches principles through hands-on examples. The explanations are concise and clear, and diagrams reinforce them to help readers understand. Part-end summaries and lecture slides are also provided, making this a book for non-majors, beginners, and anyone who wants to study in an enjoyable way.

Scene 3: As a book lover, I watched my books pile up and realized they needed

The examples and illustrations are well balanced and helped me understand the theory. I also thought it was excellent that the book gradually covers everything from

The book Database Management Systems is written for people who lack a basic understanding of databases, including liberal arts students with little database knowledge. It helps readers understand how a database management system operates and how an administrator should access it. Even without knowing computer programming, someone who runs an online store or deletes posts and adds products could keep this book as a reference and use it when needed; it also helps explain databases and server

We are in the era of big data, so data management is extremely important for every company. This emphasis on big data had already spread widely by around 2018 at the latest, so by now most companies are probably running a DBMS. As the book says on p. 20, RDBMS is currently the dominant approach. But nothing lasts forever, and even RDBMS, which once seemed to rule the world, can show limitations depending on an individual company's circumstances; the trend is now toward more tailored approaches
