Jo Hong-gil: The dawn of selflessness

The 21st century is the age of artificial intelligence, and this age of AI calls for the dawn of selflessness. The dawn of selflessness calls for ancient metaphysics once again. I have believed that the ontology of relations, the theory of the unity of all things, and the philosophy of life represent such metaphysics. Therefore, in Chapter 2 of this paper, I will discuss the ontology of relations and the theory of the unity of all things, and furthermore, briefly examine the *Huangdi Neijing* and Bergson's philosophy of life. For the section on the ontology of relations, I utilized the paper *The New Scientific and Technological Revolution and the Encounter of Eastern and Western Thought*, which I presented at the 2018 Korea-China Humanities Forum. This is because the former serves as the foundation for the philosophy of selflessness, while the latter can be regarded as an extension of it. In particular, I have addressed the ontology of relations from the perspective of the encounter between Eastern and Western thought.
