I bought this because my elementary-school child, who loves K-pop, wanted it. They're still at the Beyer level and found other books difficult, but they can follow along with this one a little. 😊
Jo Hee-soon et al.: Teacher Joy's K-POP Anyone Can Play Easy Season 9: Even Easier Beginner Level
This songbook collects recent hits by leading K-pop groups, from BIBI, whose “Bam Yang Gang” has become a huge sensation, to chart-toppers IVE, aespa, and ILLIT. Season 9 of Joy Teacher's Easy K-pop for Everyone, updated regularly since 2017, features popular songs from the second half of 2023 through the first half of 2024. The easier beginner arrangements can be played by younger students in the Beyer method. Separate chapters let students play with a teacher or on their own, making the book useful in different ways. QR codes link to model performance videos for every song to support playing and practice, and drum rhythms make the performances more lively. Each song includes a rhythm score, offering different ways to vary the left-hand accompaniment. Try playing today's hits in different ways and find your own musical style!
