Jo Bong-rae: Organic Chemistry Experiment
Science has given us a longer life expectancy than ever before. And I think that's a major contribution to the average life extensions, and that'll be the area of organic chemistry where new anti-carbs and antibiotics are synthesized. Organic chemistry has steadily evolved to improve the effectiveness of these compounds and develop new compounds that have not existed before. Organic chemistry is a science that must be developed by the combination of theories and experiments, so we cannot ignore the importance of the experiment. It is especially important to acquire experimental knowledge and synthetic skills. The name of the compound in this book is based on a method published by the chemical community for its name: organic compounds. In the beginning of the book, we've introduced what we need to know before we do organic chemistry experiments, and the simple manipulations of experimental reports and organic experiments. In each of the experiments introduced in each chapter, we tried to build an understanding of the experiment by briefly explaining the theoretical background in the outline, along with the mechanism of reaction. To increase the link between the experiments, the products from the previous reaction are organized to be used as the next reaction. And we added experiments to biochemicals that applied to organic chemistry, and added chapters to the development of fusion sciences called biochemistry. With this one book, I hope that readers can achieve the goal of expanding their understanding of organic chemistry experiments and developing basics.
