A scientific approach is necessary to properly understand any phenomenon. In other words, to scientifically master and learn complex phenomena and advance to the next stage, one must have a solid understanding of methodology. At the lower undergraduate level, when critically reading and understanding research previously conducted by others, a methodological review allowed for a better understanding of the research context and a more systematic organization of the findings. At the upper undergraduate and graduate levels, it is necessary to learn the procedures, key concepts, and precautions of survey research in order to conduct research directly. Research methodology is the subject required for such learning. This book covers both the theory and practice of research methodology. Chapters 1 through 5 cover the general principles of research methodology, elements of research, types of research and their design, characteristics of research instruments, and sampling, while Chapters 6 through 8 focus on survey research, covering questionnaire development, the practical aspects of research, and data processing. Chapters 9 through 11 introduced experimental design research, evaluation research, and literature reviews as research types to be aware of in addition to surveys, while Chapters 12 through 15 covered the application of research, ethical considerations, reporting and presentation methods, and research case studies. It is hoped that this book will help you understand the theory and practice of research methodology and assist you in conducting your own research.
