Jeong Tae-hyun: Introduction to the Bible (Part 2)

A revision of the translation of the Bible into the English language, which follows the second revision of São Paulo. The document focuses on four things:. First, the Bible is a book. As St. Augustine said, "The New Testament is hidden in the Old Testament, and the Old One appears in the New Testament.". 73). So instead of dividing this into the O [ld] T [estament] and the New Testament, we divided it into the upper and lower books. Second, the ‘ Background of the Scriptures ’ and ‘ The Formation of the Holy Scriptures ’ in the upper and lower books focused on studying historical events, while the main part of the lower portion of the list, the outline and theological thought of each of the books of the Old Testament and New Testament, focused on spiritual meaning. Third, historical events and theological mysteries are united as one which cannot separate humanity from divinity in Jesus Christ. This is not like the ‘ Jesus of History and Christ of Faith. ’. The God of the Bible is a god who has become a naturalized animal in the human world, in the context of his own history and in the lack of language. Finally, the Holy Scriptures are the book of God, written by Christ's Spirit. So without the help of the Holy Spirit, we cannot meet Christ as the Spirit in the Bible's letters. I hope that every reader who reads this book will not only understand the Scriptures properly but also be filled with the spirit of the resurrected Lord.
