Description

The proliferation of smart devices has exploded in recent years, including a flood of knowledge and information, the brief ideas and pretzel judgments, the smartphones, the tablet PCs, and so on. With this, social networking services, such as Facebook and Twitter and YouTube, have created a great deal of information and knowledge among modern people. Now we're learning information and knowledge in a way that is far different from what it was in the past. And in the past, it's easy to access information that is beyond the imagination. But would the flood of information have guided us wisely? Machines are getting smarter and smarter every day, and unfortunately, we humans feel more stupid somehow. Many people are more bothered by the pursuit of speed and efficiency than with the depth of knowledge, and the very thought that is so disturbing. You pass by, you judge quickly, and you act lightly. With this, actions by short ideas and quick judgment, such as Internet abuse over a particular person, blind hatred of direction, and hasty witch hunts, have created serious social problems.

I bought it with my students, and it's going to be easy for high school students, so I think it'll be okay for middle school students!
