Jeong Du-hee: In Search of the History of Faith
The author, a Korean history major and devout Catholic, in this book does not write out academic forms of figures and events of early Korean bishops but frankly expresses his vivid feelings, thus guiding readers to walk through the era together. This portrait, the conquest of the eye, the victory, the rejuvenation, the transmigration, the escarpment, the crown, the temple and the temple, not only the early shepherds, but also the New Year's persecution (1801), the persecution of the New World (1839), the interrogation and analysis of the martyrs (in 1866), and the lives of thousands of people, including the second generation of Jews, including Hydrogal and apostate Christians. Especially through the history of the 16 years of exile in Black Mountain, the desperate reality of political power and religion's collapse, with no acceptance of diversity, shows how Confucian tradition and the Catholic Church were interpreted as "membraced" and thus replaced by the principle of life, giving them a new light of hope to overcome the deep darkness.
