Through this book, we aimed to convey the history and theory of cooperative finance, as well as its market and realities, to the public in the easiest and most informative way possible. In particular, as lending resources in the financial market are rapidly declining, cooperatives with low loan-to-deposit ratios are becoming increasingly dependent on the operational performance of mutual finance. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that we focused on emphasizing the nature of the relationship between the local community and cooperative mutual finance as a mutually beneficial community based on the local community, rather than merely a relationship between customers and employees. This book explains the basics of cooperative finance, its finances, its development process, the case of Nonghyup Mutual Finance, and cooperative finance practices, divided into five modules.
