Jangho-myeon: Construction Engineering
With the advent of the global era, Korea's industry has joined the ranks of developed nations. Consequently, while architectural culture and technology are advancing day by day, the reality is that disaster indicators remain in the lower half of the OECD range. Even recently, major accidents such as earthquakes and fires have frequently resulted in casualties and disasters. It is a time when proactive prevention is more critical than reactive measures. Based on 35 years of field experience both domestically and internationally, as well as university lectures, I have written this book by closely integrating theory and practice. Consequently, university students can bridge the gap between theory and practice and adapt immediately to their jobs; it serves as a practical reference for frontline practitioners; and it is an excellent guide for candidates preparing for construction-related qualification exams. The features of this book are as follows: First, the Standard Specifications for Construction Works and Concrete Specifications have been edited with a field-oriented perspective. Second, sections such as formwork construction have been edited with a focus on practical field work, making them easy to apply. Third, illustrations, diagrams, and tables have been utilized to the fullest extent to ensure easy understanding for beginners without field experience. Fourth, it covers the field of safety management for temporary construction, a recent hot topic in the construction sector.
