Description

In 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic sent the world into a huge whirlwind of change. Meanwhile, the U.S. stock market surged, and investors who had focused only on domestic stocks turned their attention to the new world of U.S. stocks. Individual investors who joined the bull market in U.S. stocks and made substantial profits are once again finding hope for a rise, even in today's market, which has paused for a while. Still, some people hesitate to invest in stocks, and others are reluctant to invest in foreign stocks they do not know well. But beginners often overlook something: U.S. stocks are relatively safe compared with any other stocks. The United States accounts for about 60 percent of the world's stock market, while Korea accounts for only around 2 percent. In addition, U.S. companies are shareholder-friendly, continue to innovate, and have grown stronger through major events. That is why some people call U.S. stocks “the only investment you don't lose money on.” If you still have not started investing in U.S. stocks, follow The Complete Guide to U.S. Stocks. It offers useful investment information and strategies both for people seeking quick returns and for those patiently preparing for retirement.

Since it is a beginner's step-by-step guide, some of it overlaps with other beginner books. It is still helpful. Because it emphasizes steady investing over day trading, there does not seem to be much content for making profits through day trading.

I bought it because U.S. stocks seem to be popular these days, and I guess I need to study hard. The material is a little difficult.

This is a good guide for getting started with U.S. stocks. I also own several other books about U.S. stocks, including works by Jeon [name redacted], Sosu [name redacted], New York [title redacted], and First Steps in U.S. Stocks, but I like Just Follow Along.

I had been investing in U.S. stocks without really thinking about it, but this book helped me understand the precautions I absolutely need to know, such as trading commissions, capital gains tax, and currency exchange fees. It explains things clearly, so it is a good book to read before investing in U.S. stocks.

People who felt frustrated investing in domestic stocks because of the “Boxpi” market seem to have already moved on to U.S. stocks. After all, we often hear the term “Seohak ants” in the news for Korean individual investors who invest overseas. So how should people who want to start investing in U.S. stocks prepare, even now? I would recommend reading a basic book first, then starting to invest. I recommend The Complete Guide to U.S. Stocks as a book to read before entering the U.S. stock

The latest information from 2024 is included, so this is a book I had really wanted to read. Beginners who know nothing about U.S. stocks can learn a lot from it. It covers everything from how to trade and analyze stocks to ETFs, dividend stocks, and growth stocks. It explains trading and analysis methods in detail using Kiwoom Securities as an example. The illustrations and photos, along with the text, make it easy to understand. Just like the title says, study it and follow along! I recommend

I read The Complete Guide to U.S. Stocks, part of the Just Follow Along series, which carefully teaches the basics of U.S. stocks. It has a lot of useful material for beginners without U.S. stock experience, more so than for people who already invest in them. The book is especially well organized. It is wider than the first book, making the text and charts easy to view, and its detailed notes and references make further study convenient. It also feels like looking through a well-made PowerPoint

This book covers everything from promising U.S. ETFs that can grow in value if you hold them, to dividend investing that can bring in more than a monthly salary on a regular basis, and how to choose solid blue-chip stocks to pass on to your children. U.S. stock investors can complete their studies with this one well-organized book.
