Korean edition of *Jean Mohr*, a Swiss photographer. Jean Mohr is a representative Swiss documentary photographer who, after World War II, worked with UN agencies such as the World Health Organization (OMS), UNESCO, the Committee of the International Red Cross (CICR), and the High Commissioner for Refugees (HCR), documenting refugees, migrant workers, and farmers in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East through his photographs. His tendency to be drawn to different places can be attributed to his upbringing. Born to German parents who immigrated to Switzerland in 1919, he was essentially born and raised as an "outsider," and his father, who worked as an interpreter for international organizations, likely had a significant influence on him. Perhaps for this reason, even when he was dispatched to the Middle East for two years by the Committee of the International Red Cross and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), he remained largely unfazed by the completely different environment he faced after leaving Europe for the first time. On the contrary, as if fully prepared, he managed to acquire a camera on-site with difficulty and began sharing the lives in refugee camps with his family and acquaintances. He returned to Geneva and established himself as a professional photographer while working for local newspapers and international organizations.
