Description

The second edition of Making and Learning with Arduino IoT: 40 Projects has been updated to reflect Arduino IDE 2.x and practical IoT projects aligned with current trends such as AI. The book guides readers through building 40 projects using Arduino and IoT, naturally introducing AI, the Internet of Things, and programming through coding. After covering Arduino basics, it presents five IoT projects using ESP8266, twelve ready-to-use IoT projects, eight communication projects using standard protocols, nine practical projects using current commercial IoT services, and six projects using ESP32-CAM, camera CCTV, and photo transmission. Across these 40 projects, readers can learn practical IoT and programming naturally. See pages 4–5 for sample code and how to ask questions about the book. See pages 7–8 for a guide to project supplies and where to buy them.

I have not completed all the projects yet, but I plan to follow them one by one and learn Arduino and IoT. I am looking forward to it; it seems like a good choice for beginners and anyone who wants hands-on study.

I had been studying only with an Arduino Uno, and wanted to learn how to control other devices through communication. I had often heard the term IoT, but had never built anything myself. Of the 40 projects in this book, some were difficult and some were easy, but the book explained important points in the circuit connections and coding, so I could follow along. Perhaps because the book was published recently, the library versions were all the same as the ones I installed, and I could proceed

It seems to cover a broad range, from simple LEDs through intermediate topics to advanced ones. Arduino assembly is very simple, and the book focuses on serial communication with IoT devices and sensors, so I would recommend it as a course textbook.

It is helpful for trying out IoT projects in the Arduino IDE development environment or learning how to connect to IoT platform services through the example code. You can also adapt the 40 sample programs, arranged by difficulty. ^

This book is packed with useful material for people starting out who want to learn Arduino, IoT, or programming, as well as those with some knowledge who feel unsure how to build projects themselves. It should be helpful to anyone with an interest and enthusiasm for Arduino and IoT. Key topics include: Arduino fundamentals such as boards, sensors, actuators, and the programming environment; basic functions such as LED control, button input, and serial communication; practical IoT projects;
