Jang Jong-hoon: New and renewable energy
Global warming due to large amounts of fossil fuel use has caused severe flooding and droughts, melting glaciers in the Arctic and Antarctic, and many deaths and property damages throughout the world. So in '50, 195 countries signed a "Paris Convention" to reduce their emissions and the use of renewables has been rapidly increasing as part of efforts to prevent global warming. But there was a scene in the Middle East of 1979 where the world economy was falling into serious depression and gas stations were running out of oil, waiting for cars to turn in. Ironically, the United States was also driven by solar power, not only by direct use, but also by lack of fossil fuels. Many studies have been conducted on solar power plants using large, spherical heaters in the desert west, and also on colleges. The author experienced the impact of the oil ban on exporting to the United States in 1981, and he took courses in solar power from university. Meanwhile, NASA already used fuel cells on the ship Zemini and Apollo and the shuttle and solar cells on communications satellites and space stations. But solar power using solar cells has not yet been used.
