The most fundamental knowledge required to understand tourism phenomena is an understanding of the tourist, who is at the center of these phenomena. This book was written to convey the knowledge necessary to properly understand tourist behavior. The structure of this book is as follows. The first part covers basic knowledge for understanding tourists, dealing with the meaning and importance of tourist behavior, the decision-making process, and tourism experiences and their evaluation. The second part deals with the internal influencing factors of tourist behavior, covering tourism motivation, perception, learning, personality, attitude, emotion, and constraints. The third part examines external influencing factors of tourist behavior, such as group, social class, family, and culture; each chapter explains how internal and external factors affect tourist behavior, including experiences, activities, and decision-making. By studying and mastering the contents of this book, readers will be able to understand the diverse behaviors of tourists and acquire the ability to apply this knowledge.
