Description

This one volume brings together the dazzling adventures of Greek mythology, from Zeus, king of the gods and god of thunder and sky, to the hero Theseus and the Minotaur, and Hercules, whose strength and spirit were superhuman. It’s an introduction to Greek mythology illustrated with charming, detailed pictures in a harmonious range of colors. This 64-page comic book gathers the most fascinating and important stories from the Greek myths, classics for thousands of years. It covers ancient Greek civilization, the twelve Olympian gods, Pandora’s box, the Trojan horse, the battle between Theseus and the Minotaur, and fifteen other exciting topics. The illustrations borrow the style of ancient Greek pottery and portray a diverse cast against colorful backgrounds, making the book feel like a well-staged play, with every prop in its place.

There are so many fun stories. My child enjoys it, too. Some of the material might be a little difficult, but the comic format makes it easy to get into.

The small print makes it a little hard to read, but the mythology is presented in a fun way.

This is an illustrated introduction to classical Greek mythology in one volume. We meet the Greek gods, monsters, and heroes through pictures. It brings together stories including Zeus’s birth, the twelve Olympians, Pandora’s box, Theseus and the Minotaur in the maze, Perseus and Medusa, Orpheus and Eurydice’s love, a journey to the ancient Greek underworld, the Trojan War that began with Paris’s golden apple, and Hercules’s twelve labors.
