Jade Malesenne: Mass is fun.

Explaining the Mass to children is not a simple task, and taking them to Mass can be even more challenging. Therefore, for the sake of faith education, it is important to help children feel comfortable with the church and the Mass from an early age, and to accept Jesus and God, whom they encounter there, as figures they feel close and at ease with. However, it is true that concepts such as God, Jesus, and the Eucharist are all too difficult and abstract for children to imagine and understand. Catholic Publishing House has released *A Playbook to Get Closer to Jesus - The Mass Is Fun* to help introduce a close and friendly Jesus and the Mass to children. This is a faith education sticker book for toddlers that allows them to familiarize themselves with the church and get a taste of the Mass while looking at beautiful illustrations and playing games. Consisting of fourteen sections, *A Playbook to Get Closer to Jesus - Mass Is Fun* is filled with simple activities such as navigating a maze to the church, completing a church with stickers, coloring stained glass, decorating the altar with stickers, matching the sign of the cross, finding differences, coloring the Last Supper, connecting dotted lines to draw a chalice, finding hidden pictures inside the church, and making prayer cards. The unique feature of this book is that it is designed to allow children to complete the scenes of the Mass on their own through enjoyable play, rather than explaining the Mass or depicting its contents through pictures. Parents or catechists wishing to teach children about the Mass using this book only need to act as a playmate, allowing the child to happily engage in the fun activities prepared for each section, rather than explaining it verbally while looking at the book. A book where children become familiar with the church and Jesus as they play!
