Im Yu: Frontlines of Democracy
In 2017, the government came into the room after the power of the candle-lit citizen broke Park Geun-hye regime. The government, the source, said it would represent the desire of its citizens from the beginning of its campaign. Then the government's politics as a source had to be considered more democratic than any other government. But it wasn't. The criticism of the government as the source is that it is ruining democracy has been made very often. The cause was particularly blamed for the ‘ moonists ’ who supported the government as the source of the problem. Are the octopus really hurting democracy? This is not a question that you might think would be easier to answer. This book looks at the relationship between the moon and democracy with a slightly different perspective. The author has applied Laclau's Poopism theory to make it a distinct figure between candle-liters and the octopus who drove Park away. The idea of the continuation of candlelight and the cynic, further along, is that they are political actors who cannot really understand the nature of their waves. Also, by analyzing the concept of ‘indemocracy’, which is the central principle of democracy, it specifys what logic behind the political actions of the moon. The octopus has created a conflict with the power of legislation, judicial power, media power, and the existing order in the name of the democratic regime. The author claims that this will help us identify the other side of the line that the octopus built. Then, apart from the validity of the results of the gate struggle, the existing order essentially holds the cracks that are critical when it comes to democracy. Finally, the gatekeepers ’ battle lines against their enemies are no longer valid for further reform. We need new wires to replace the old ones.
