It was actually hard to find a good book on writing news articles for broadcast, but this one is very helpful. It is specific, and even if I just follow along on my own, I can understand it perfectly.

In *Writing Broadcast News Articles*, author Im Heung-sik has compiled all the know-how a reporter needs to know regarding broadcast news writing, based on nearly 30 years of experience as a broadcast journalist. With the hope that aspiring reporters would begin their careers with at least this basic knowledge of how to write articles, he emphasizes the ‘techniques’ of writing good articles and producing good news, as well as the duty to report the truth. The book consists of 13 lectures and one special lecture. Lecture 1 discusses the conditions required for a ‘good article,’ while Lecture 2 covers the basic principles that broadcast articles must adhere to. Lectures 3 through 12 cover how to write straight news and report articles, the sentence structure and expression skills necessary for writing, live broadcasts involving interviews with anchors, and feature news. Lecture 13 discusses reading articles, and finally, the special lecture addresses the essay writing that aspiring reporters encounter in media entrance exams. Thus, the 14 lectures include practical content that can be applied in practice by using actual broadcast articles, articles written by aspiring reporters, or their revisions as examples, and presenting basic frameworks for each type.
