I bought a French vocabulary book, and liked its layout and example sentences so much that I’m buying the main book too. It’s packed with useful material. It also has video lessons and MP3s, which should be good to study with. Sisa Books seems to make good books for language courses in a variety of languages, including English. The example sentences are excellent.
The delivery came later than the expected date, which was disappointing. The content seems to be put together reasonably well, but I’m disappointed that the audio does not seem to have been updated even though this is a revised edition. It would have been better if I could listen to the pronunciation of the sentences used as examples too.

It provides especially detailed explanations of conversational expressions, considering the challenges faced by independent learners. Expressions are introduced gradually according to difficulty and frequency, and linked across lessons for repeated practice. Studying with the free video lessons can also make learning more effective.
