Humanities Korea Plus Research Group Pukyong National University: Formation and Conflict of Modern Humanities Network in Northeast Asian Sea Region
The South China Sea, the East China Sea and the East Asian Sea, and the North North Sea, which were connected to the East Sea, were the places where people had long since traveled and traded in the region. This is where various humane exchanges were made by fishermen who had been fishing in the sea, and by traders who had traded in trade, and also by sailors who fought in diplomatic battles and by pirates who had fought in the war against the water and the prey. But as we entered the modern era, we started to see people with a background of exotic history and culture, Western beings, in this activity of the peoples of northeast Asia alone. More than any of the Westerners who reached the North Sea through the East Asian sea are merchants and missionaries. Early Western merchants traded with East Asian merchants who were trading in the Northeast Sea and on the seas, buying and selling supplies for each other, but during the process of collecting them, there was conflict with the policies of the Eastern Asian country. East Asia was a place where sea trade was so intense at the time, but providing its items was eventually a place of overland territory. So certain areas of the ocean became important, and that was the port. But the port was in the influence of a dynasty that eventually dominated the land. So the opening up becomes a major event, whether before or after modern times. Since then, more Western merchants have demanded trade, and so trade in the North Sea, which was just a free trade between East and West private merchants, has gradually expanded into a system that provides a nation to intervene and ensures trade.
