Hong Ja-seong: Chaegeundam
Everybody in Korea knows that knowing enough is a good language for the better. So I study in Chinese writing a lot, and I encourage kids a lot. But it's a 1,800-person audience, and it'll be hard to memorize all those letters. Now, we're using Chinese in one language, but we don't write Chinese in the other. After the Sabbath in Canada, I tried to find a hundred-year-old self-study books for my children, for the betterment of the language, for their Korean children in North America, and for foreigners who wanted to learn Hankul, but I couldn't find them. So I thought I would try to create Self - Sats Without One, and I started translating one of my favorite books, Szechwan Saum. And before kids learned to write, we had a desire to get used to the words that are much of the language. The last book of the famous Chinese nation, called Hong Liang, is written by Shang Chaung. It's a book that has a lesson in Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoist thought, and it teaches people to live wise lives, like the Talmud of the West. It's a lot to understand, but it's personal hope that the book will be one that you want to take out and read over time.
