Hesse has long produced works that contemplate life, the human inner self, and the influence that inner self exerts on the external world. The book's commentary states that one of Hesse's defining characteristics is "wanderability" and "inquiry"; if so, this poetry collection is a small adventure wandering through the world of the human being named Hermann Hesse.

I compared it to other book publishers in the bookstore, and I ordered it because it was the best translation. There are a lot of good poetry.

I came to know Hermann Hesse through the novel *Demian* and bought his poetry collection. It resonates so deeply that it feels as though *Demian* has been transferred into poetry.

When your mind is cluttered or you are going through a difficult time, I borrow the power of poetry to share this with you. I highly recommend Hesse's poetry collection; even if you open it and read it without thinking on any day, there isn't a single page to throw away.

This is a collection of poems compiled from Hermann Hesse’s verses, which I had occasionally seen in his essay collections. True to his nature as a writer who aspired to be a poet from the very beginning, he left behind a vast body of work throughout his life. He expands his feelings and thoughts from the very ordinary, expressing them through beautiful words. Reading the poems can sometimes evoke a heavy emotion, as many of them express the transience of life, loneliness, and death. Although

Hermann Hesse Poetry Collection * Recommended Poetry Collection Haven't you encountered a work by Hermann Hesse at least once? The book I read this time is a poetry collection that can be enjoyed gently with a light heart. It contains not only poems but also watercolors, creating anticipation as I turn the page, wondering what picture will be depicted next. Hermann Hesse is an author who has secured a large readership with his beautiful prose and delicate descriptions, but this poetry

Poetry is something you read only occasionally, but when you do, you experience a distinctly different kind of emotion compared to novels. This is because I believe poetry allows for deep contemplation—comfortable yet more profound than ever—regardless of the burden of its length. I seem to have been reading a lot of Hermann Hesse's works recently. Since he is such a famous author, I was aware of his works, but I suspect the last few years have been the time when I truly indulged in them.

Imagining Hermann Hesse as Germany's representative novelist, poet, and painter, I was able to encounter a delicate and beautiful world of poetry. It feels even more meaningful to be able to see the watercolors included alongside the poems. To think that he left behind over 3,000 watercolors and more than 600 poems before his death, his passion feels truly remarkable. The beautiful watercolors and every single expression contained within the artworks and poems resonate with a different feeling.

The cover, adorned with delicate watercolors, seemed to represent Hermann Hesse’s beautiful prose and delicate descriptions. It is said that he painted over 3,000 watercolors before his passing. The paintings included in this poetry collection are precisely those he created. It is said that painting watercolors greatly aided him in reflecting on his inner self with sensitivity and richness. Hesse’s poetry is contemplative, looking deeply into the human psyche. Throughout his work, he expresses

Hermann Hesse, a representative German novelist and poet who won the Nobel Prize in Literature and the Goethe Prize, confronts the version of myself from my high school days when I clutched *Demian* and read it over and over again. Hermann Hesse had a profound influence on my adolescence. I chose German because I wanted to read his works in the original language. Since the difference between the original and the translation significantly impacts the flow and feeling of a book, I recommend
