It is an interesting and informative book dealing with ancient Israel's history. The rise and fall of the Israelis, of course, is a brief and clear introduction to the background of the Old Testament. The first volume of Cornell's General History, this book, has outlined the tradition of Hebraism, one of the two roots of Western civilization, with empirical data. The map material on the exact station with the stationer added was also very helpful. It was good to read this book and see clearly
