I think the best and fastest way to study Chinese is to study the Chinese characters and learn their meanings and notes correctly. This book is Chinese one. It's very detailed, specific and kind. But it's so neat that it'll be enough to study this book without any other dictionary or Chinese dictionary. A very good book, strong recommendation!
