Description

Boredom is evil; enjoyment is good! This book is a practical collection of humor. It covers the value of humor, techniques and tips for using it well, and a variety of material that can help you put it into practice. Some of the humor comes from the author, and some from philosophers, politicians, writers, artists, and business leaders. This book will help you recognize the power of humor and practice it in everyday life. Why do we need humor? Because laughter changes life for the better. Laughter attracts money and good fortune. They say people who laugh more succeed more and earn more; studies also suggest that people who laugh more live longer. People find a smiling face more likable. If you want to look younger, smile more often. Laughter is the best way to make your face beautiful without touching it. People look their best when they laugh. Leaders need humor! The author, Dr. Han Geun-tae, earned a doctorate in engineering but was more interested in language than engineering. After becoming a management consultant, he spent over fifteen years collecting language: word origins, definitions and redefinitions of familiar terms, similes, and metaphors. Since humor also emerges through language, this book continues that work. Why do we need humor? It acts as a lubricant in relationships and can put others at ease. That is why leaders especially need it. When a leader makes colleagues comfortable, they can focus more on their work and achieve better results.

At my previous workplace, there was someone who kept firing off dad jokes nonstop. They have already retired, but thinking back, they were a quick-witted person. They treated this as a weakness of theirs, but, as the book describes, they sometimes made people laugh by making fun of themselves. Still, only about one in ten jokes landed, and hearing so many got tiresome too. This book tries to include everything leaders need to know about humor. Everyone wants to be good at humor, and there are

I have always envied people who seem to have been born with a sense of humor. The importance of humor can hardly be overstated. At school, at work, and at all kinds of gatherings, funny people improve a stiff atmosphere, put others at ease, and make them laugh. Spending enjoyable time laughing and opening up in conversation may be at the heart of human relationships. This book discusses humor across three chapters. Chapter 1, "The Benefits of Humor," describes the advantages and effects of

This is a really fun, cheerful, and meaningful book. There is no need to explain that humor is necessary in life. Everyone knows its importance, since they say laughter brings good fortune. Perhaps Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning is the book that most powerfully argues that humor is truly necessary. Dr. Frankl, a Holocaust survivor, treated the psychological suffering of people who survived the camps and found common traits among those who survived and remained mentally stable

The older I get, the more I feel the importance of humor. I already knew its benefits, but is there anything better than humor for acting as a lubricant in relationships and improving the atmosphere? Knowing how to use humor well would be a great advantage and strength. I picked up this book because I wanted to read a broad discussion of humor. It covers many aspects, from the benefits of humor to its rules and various topics, and it reminded me once again of how important humor is. In

This post is an honest review written after receiving the book from the publisher. There is no need to develop humor and wit in order to win. Laughter should be life itself. There is no reason not to laugh in every moment. You can laugh while asking and answering questions, and find and amplify humor in the words you exchange. This book also includes a summary of Kim Chan-ho's Humanism of Humor, but people and organizations that do not laugh much are showing a sign of poor health. What healthy

I envy the author's confidence in both telling and enjoying jokes. After finishing the book, I thought the face image on the cover had been used very well. I picked it up wondering whether a sense of humor, a kind of humor ability, can really be acquired. I do not know if reading this book creates a sense of humor I did not have before. But one of the three conditions for making people laugh mentioned in the prologue, that my own condition should be good, made a strong impression on me. One

I feel like I haven't had much to laugh about lately. There are, in fact, many kinds of laughter. There is laughter of joy and happiness that bursts out from deep inside, but there is also false laughter that only puts a smile on your face by force. In this book, the author has a lot to say about humor. It begins with "The Uses of Humor." In this chapter, the author offers a variety of definitions of humor. They are so varied that you encounter humor's many different faces. It made me realize

The Humor of the Masters is everything a leader needs to know about humor. Thinking about my life, in which I lacked a feel for humor both generally and at work, and about how businesslike and dull I and those around me must have been, it seems clear that people should be around others full of humor and wit. Isn't it better to have fun? In that sense, I was not a fun person. Even as a leader, I was very dry. I was always focused on work, and outside of work there was probably nothing enjoyable,

When I watch foreign movies, I have seen scenes that made me envious. Even in an emergency, the protagonist invariably cracks a joke and overcomes the crisis casually, as if it were nothing. I envy the composure that allows that. They seem like masters with an unshakable mentality. The Humor of the Masters is a book that helps us live with more breathing room. It may be necessary even when we live tensely, as if being chased, but a master's attitude seems to be facing everything positively and
