In 1957, the Soviets launched the world's first satellite, Sputnik I. A flare signal signaling the beginning of the coming space age. Today, over 60 years later, it is not easy to adapt to a world without satellites. Cars and smartphones are routinely equipped with a satellite navigation system, and even when they watch weather forecasts on satellite, images of the images are shown in space. Global satellites are tracking the dangers of global warming, and scientific satellites like the Hubble Space Telescope have completely altered our cosmic view. A communications satellite and countless other orbits are deeply embedded in our lives. This is a document from the Institute of Space Atheism that has been active for over 30 years to introduce the principles of space vehicles to ordinary readers. It's a text from which we've written a program for non-technological learning, so we have ruled out the mathematical formula of one body and it's explained from the basics of scientific knowledge that we need to understand the spacecraft. The book is a science book in the middle, easy and fun enough to read, but it also presents a professional material that the average person has little access to. Even though we're familiar with what we've been learning in school, it's hard to associate with the context of a spaceship, and if you look at the book, you can naturally understand what it is and why it'll be so constructed.
