I ordered a collection of poems by the great writer Goethe to read. I plan to read it over and over again. These poems are too precious to even read.
The author Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749–1832) was a world-renowned literary giant born in Germany, a naturalist, and a Chancellor of the Duchy of Weimar. Born into a wealthy family, he was freely exposed to French literature from a young age; while studying law in Strasbourg in 1770, he met Herder and learned about the greatness of Shakespeare. The following year, having become a lawyer, he experienced a tragic love affair with Charlotte Buff while staying in Wetzlar as an intern at the
Most of them are poems about love (though perhaps because of my age, I don't relate to them:(), but there are a few that still resonate with me even when I read them past the age of forty.
Goethe is a poet I love very much. Each and every one of his poems resonates with my soul. I find myself memorizing the verses over and over. Highly recommended.
I bought this because I wanted to read more of his works after reading Faust! It makes me think that Goethe's style of expression is absolutely impossible to replicate!
Goethe is truly a life-changing person I am grateful to, and I am so happy to be able to read his writings like this!!!
Goethe's Poetry Collection. During my school days, I enjoyed reading poetry collections just as much as novels. It wasn't because I was a sentimental girl, nor was it because I had a deep appreciation for poetry. I think the fact that poetry collections were cheaper than other books played a significant role. They say poets are geniuses of language; perhaps that is why they seem so difficult? To be honest, for reasons I don't know, I don't find myself reaching for poetry collections these days.
One can examine not only Goethe's poems but also his paintings. According to the commentary, the content of this poetry collection is quite complex. There are love stories, stories about ideology, and even passages that feel like amusing humor. Because it is not difficult or grandiose—contradicting the conventional notion of "poetry"—it feels less like reading poetry and more like being captivated by one's imagination, much like Anne of Green Gables. It is also amusing to feel connected to
“Goethe's Poetry Collection” A book that allows you to calmly reflect on time. The poetry collection of Goethe, who gave birth to many masterpieces of novels and plays! And a poetry collection where you can also encounter paintings by Goethe, who is said to have loved to draw! So, it was a book I was very curious about. Contrary to my expectation that it might lack the energy found in Goethe’s recitations and novels, the calm and serene, evocative words, along with the drawings Goethe created
Reading Goethe's poetry collection reminded me of the works of his I had read in the past. After reading *The Sorrows of Young Werther* in a small paperback edition, the next Goethe work I read was *Goethe's Travelogue of Italy*, which was released for the first time back then. It was then that I first learned that there was a travelogue of Italy that was not *Faust*. I remember that a few of the poems about the Italian journey that appear in this book were probably included in that book as
Goethe: Goethe's poetry collection
The *Goethe Poems* is composed of the lyrical poems of Goethe, who took pride in being a poet, arranged into five parts according to time and theme. It includes not only *To the Moon* and *The Wildflower*, which are famous for being set to music by Schubert and Mozart using Goethe's poems as lyrics, but also works written with the characters of *Wilhelm Meister* and *Faust* as motifs, travels in Italy, and poems inspired by the great Persian poet.
