Gil Seung-ho et al.: New Challenges in Landscape Architecture

50 years have passed since the beginning of my country's science of landscape in 2023. The landscape has been working on the development of beautiful landscapes and real-life development, despite new challenges and trials and errors in the industrial process. In particular, we've been developing this through interdisciplinary research, architecture, land, cities, economies, administrations, engineering, art and other academic studies. It's the study of understanding the structure and function of space and trying to create beautiful landscapes and make human life more comfortable through healthy conservation of nature and ecological promotion of urban environments. So as part of the fusion sciences that modern society demands, it's a complex science of art. While there is a great advantage that this academic trait can enable us to take a lot of academic access, there is also the challenge of deeply addressing different fields. Over the course of the half century, landscapes have made a lot of progress, and my students think they're very rewarding about this. As head of applied science, we hope to continue to develop a new science that can quickly understand and resolve changing challenges and hopefully provide an opportunity for people to be happy and beautiful in their environment. I hope this book will give you a new perspective on the landscape and help you expand your thinking.
