Their love was beautiful, but reality proved stronger in the end, and poverty took away even their choices.

They say sharing joy doubles it, but sharing sorrow turns it into misery and hell. People say that these days, right? It doesn’t seem wrong. Poverty can make life hard and lead someone to the “entrance” to ruin. But in the end, isn’t it “people” and “love” that bring a person to ruin?

It is the thing that can make people happiest or most miserable, make them feel wretched or proud. This book keeps you thinking about and searching for that thing, which is not money.

A novel in letters, made up of 55 letters and Barbara’s journal. It explores why poverty eats away at the souls of two lovers—and what poverty means.

I was young then, but I still grappled, however naively, with human nature, humanism, ethics, and philosophy. Because of the title Poor

This book made me think about poverty again. Rather than dividing people into right and wrong, upper and lower classes, it gave me a chance to reflect once more on human social psychology.
