Description

At a time when it is hard to find books in Korea that can help with creating original origami, Real Origami: Ideas and Techniques has been published. This is the ninth book in the Real Origami series, which has become essential reading for fans of creative origami, and should be a great help to creators who want to complete impressive models. Its standout feature is that it covers everything from fundamentals to advanced know-how. The book has three parts: ‘Fold neatly,’ ‘Plan the folding sequence,’ and ‘Think about the design.’ Each part explains the ideas and techniques behind creative origami in concrete detail and offers practical help for completing a model. It includes 39 models with clear, detailed instructions. At the end of the book, QR codes link to videos so readers can keep folding even when they encounter a challenging step. By offering both a deeper understanding of creative origami and practical skills, this book should become a valued guide for origami enthusiasts. As with the previous book, Korean origami artist Oh Kyung-ran carefully reviewed the work to make it clearer and quicker for local readers to understand. Emil plans to continue publishing the Real Origami series.

When I opened an origami book again, my brain started hurting. 😅🤣 I tried folding something a few days ago, but wasted a whole stack of colored paper and failed. 🙈 Maybe my hands and brain were resisting after such a long break from this kind of fine-motor and mental exercise. Today I took a deep breath, studied the book carefully, and tried again—and something is actually taking shape! How amazing!

This is the most challenging origami book I’ve tried with my child, who loves paper folding. But the finished model will be amazing, right? I don’t know whether my hands are the problem or I still can’t read diagrams well, or origami just isn’t my thing yet, but I’ve crumpled up several sheets. It’s hard—but fun! My child made a pyramid and a nautilus in no time beside me. Hey, kid, how about helping Dad? My child has always been interested in all kinds of origami, from basic folds to
