I opened it after exams, and it showed me the development of applied behavior analysis I had studied so far, along with Skinner's analysis of verbal behavior and later developments. This is an outstanding book by star editors and authors, grounded in a strong confidence in behavioral science and its development. The editors make a persuasive case for the strengths of behavioral science as both an academic discipline and an applied field, and for the value of integrating it consistently. Any author or student who wants to know how behavior analysis has developed since Skinner should read it. The book is dense and precise, yet highly readable and clear. It is an excellent addition to a complex area of psychology, and the editors and authors convince us it is worth thinking about.
