Words are unnecessary. You simply have to read Eric Kandel's books. I am particularly engrossed in reading to understand the reflections that the artistic worlds of Klimt, Schiele, and Kokoschka—representative Viennese painters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries—offer us.
It's thick, but it has lots of pictures, so it flows smoothly.
