You've never heard of Erasmus unless you're a student in education. In fact, most educators in education would read and move on to the introduction of two paragraphs, one of the 'old' educational ideas that the book usually presents. But for those who want to study the subject more deeply, Erasmus ’ education is a valuable source that can never be passed lightly. There is no clear statement yet about the difference between education and discipline and education. (Laughter). You can see how much
Erasmus: Erasmus's Theory of Child Education
Erasmus's version of child education was a description of the responsibility of the right education of children and parents in Christian humanism. In 1529, Erasmus gave the world a supplement to Sepulchron's séance of children's education that had been under publication for over 20 years. First, the idea of child education was an attempt to provide a more desirable example of the kind of mathematical discussion. Erasmus' goal was to explain the principle of jurisprudence in Sepulism, and then to give a literary demonstration of that principle in Child Education. But in its context, the idea of child education was a reconstruction of the ideals of the ancient liberal education based on the Christian spirit of that time. Erasmus ’ purpose was to develop a discussion of the age - old ‘ godly humanism ’ that added religious piety to academic wisdom.
