Choo Byung-wan et al.: Global Citizenship Education Handbook
Despite the importance and need of global civic education, most teachers are struggling with the plans and actions of global citizenship as a result of the lack of time and educational material, the concept of global civility and low familiarity with the issue, and the low self-effect of the classroom as a subject of change. The New York University Civic Education Association has been working with a group of guest researchers to develop a global education manual that can easily be applied and implemented by teachers in 10 schools on the ground. The book provides basic knowledge and information about world citizenship and global citizenship, along with specific ways to implement global citizenship through social, mathematical, English, art, morality, fruits, languages, physical education, science and music instruction.
