The book was written for the purpose of teaching Russian culture art as a curriculum. So the localized sectors of Russia's politics, economics and international relations were naturally ruled out. We don't deal with the whole era of cultural art as much as we do with our students in majors. It has a historical order, but it has been selectively organized to teach at the level of culture. For example, in literature, it's a way to extract and focus on some important writers and works. Artists, composers and important works are selected in art and music.
