Mathematics is a mathematical theory of the flow of water. Although we don't deal with it here, we're not dealing with the number of negatives. The importance of the relocation of Reynolds seems to be too much to stress. Second, the existing textbook tried to explain something that was not clear. For example, there are cases where you use the slope of friction to derive the equation of the dot-and-tax in terms of energy access. And even though that's not wrong, it's usually called the total head slope.
