This book also has 11 chapters. From the Elegant Universe to Superstring Theory, and the universe explained in 11 dimensions in The Structure of the Universe, it now leads further to various theories that explain the universe. As always, while reading, I feel like I understand, but once I close the book, I feel like I am completely clueless; however, there is the pleasure of easily glimpsing the countless efforts to explain the universe.
I think I should collect Brian Greene's books like a series and read them in succession.
A book that presents the concept of the multiverse, which frequently appears in recent Marvel movies, in a fun and original way.
Have you ever stood between two mirrors and gazed into them? Brian Greene opens the book by recalling that moment from his childhood. The countless reflections of "himself" seen between the mirrors. He confesses that seeing those images planted the seed of his interest in the multiverse. I once heard a sophistry(?) claim: don't struggle too much deciding between Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong, because the moment you choose Jajangmyeon, a version of you from another universe will choose Jjamppong
It is more interesting than the previous work, The Structure of the Universe. It is also exciting. Personally, it was the most enjoyable book I have read this year.
Putting the content aside, the paper quality looks terrible upon receiving the book; it seems like recycled paper. For a hardcover, it looks like a lack of effort considering the price... Just like with the Parallel Universe issue last time, Kim Youngsa, please put in some effort.
Before reading this book, the term "multiverse" seemed to me like a mere hypothesis, something you'd only find in a novel. However, the author's detailed account of how to derive the concept of the multiverse completely changed my perspective. I had never heard of "the reason for the multiverse" before, and because it seemed like such a distant concept to me, I hadn't even bothered to look for an explanation. Without this book, I would never have had the time to think deeply about this universe
