I'm the first adult to learn Spanish. The grammar is presented in one chapter or two, and the subject is set in the lower grades of elementary school, which makes it very difficult for adults to use as textbooks.
It's easy, but it's a very good book, and it'll give you the pleasure of studying because you're going to find words in the dictionary and write examples and so forth. I like that there's a mp3.
