The world does not consist solely of a decisive order governed by the law of causality. Nevertheless, Western civilization, Western thought, and the Western academic and metaphysical traditions have committed entirely to the recognition of causal order, constructing only a system of truth consistent with this order. Consequently, Western civilization has encountered limitations when approaching the essential realm, whether regarding God or natural phenomena. The rational analytical power, the primary ability to grasp things, has been rendered futile. It produced the same results whether approaching God or the origin of species. Ultimately, it settled on faith and chance. The reason clearly lies in the fact that they grasped the four-dimensional realm of essence using three-dimensional means of recognizing order. Because they lacked eyes, they could not see, and because they could not see, they encountered limitations. They dealt with fundamental forces through faith and judged them by chance. This stands in stark contrast to the enlightened beings of the East, who cultivated and delved into their own nature. This is the value and essence of the Eastern Way, and the role of the revival of Eastern civilization expected in the intellectual history to be achieved in the future.
