As we entered the 21st century, our country began with three kinds of issues: the construction of the nation of Korea for unity, the reduction of national competition and the entry into developed countries. Today Korean society is undergoing a dramatic change. Social problems, including polarization, aging and low unemployment, have weakened family function and predicted a major change in the traditional welfare system over the rapid rise in the needs and costs of society as a whole. It is a time when it takes social effort and cooperation to live with the needs of new welfare needs to prepare for these social changes. So it is important that volunteers be willing and active actors, dreaming of the change in the community and doing it. If the most important feature of volunteer work is initiative, the higher the rate of voluntary participation in volunteer work, the more dynamic it is, and the growth of civil society will be rapid. The more advanced civil society, the more volunteer roles are being built, and the power of volunteer work is also being strong. In our country, recently, there has been a growing social awareness of volunteer work, and a multi-dimensional effort has been made to promote volunteer work. But despite these efforts, our country's volunteer work is still having a lot of problems that should be improved in many ways, as well as lacking or backward in quantity and quality. So we all have to participate and work together to improve this problem and bring it to a more advanced level of volunteer work in the developed developed developed world.
