Description

Dot, the popular British illustrated art magazine for ages 3–6, has officially launched in Korean with an even more polished version of its signature style. Each issue picks an engaging everyday theme and includes a variety of related content, such as reading, writing, coloring, drawing, and cooking. Like Anorak, the magazine for ages 5–9 that came before it, Dot is filled with stylish illustrations by artists from around the world. Fun stories and activities throughout help children take an active part in creative projects. In this age of creativity, put away the TV and smartphone for a while and help children grow their imagination and creativity by reading, drawing, and writing with Dot! This issue’s “Space Story” theme combines science with imagination. Elon Musk is launching Starship and people are dreaming of space travel, so the space age feels closer than ever. Space is full of fascinating science and offers limitless room for imagination. From the eight planets in our solar system to the seasons, Earth’s structure, spacecraft and spacesuits, constellations, and our blue planet, the magazine makes potentially difficult space topics easy and fun. It includes engaging activities that make time fly: a dice game to play with a friend, rocket shoes to make for a space adventure, and constellation connect-the-dots. Are you ready to explore space aboard the Dot spaceship? Set out to discover the mysterious secrets of the universe hidden behind the stars shining in the night sky!

There was a solar system. Nine planets orbited the sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The last one, Pluto, was removed from the list because several trans-Neptunian bodies orbit the sun farther away than Pluto, and including them under the old definition of a planet would make the number grow exponentially. A book has arrived to help readers understand the sun and Earth, the solar system, and the universe: British Illustration-Based Preschool Art Dot,

I picked up Dot, the British creative magazine for young children, issue 7, Space Story. It is aimed at ages 3–6, but I think early elementary students who do not know much about space could enjoy it, too. I was used to seeing magazines for adults, so a children’s magazine felt novel. As you would expect, it looks colorful and cute. It clearly and simply explains the characteristics of six planets, so it is easy for a little one who knows nothing about them. Children can draw pictures along the

Here’s my review of Space Story from Dot, the British illustration-based art magazine for young children! I was excited because I had never shown my child a book in this category before. During the rainy monsoon season, we cannot play outside, and some days it is so hot that even going anywhere feels exhausting, so I chose a book we could use for activities at home together. Dot has several series, and I picked Space Story. I was surprised to discover that my child seemed to know more about

Dot is a British creative magazine for young children. It is a new kind of preschool magazine that has arrived in Korea alongside the children’s illustration magazine Anorak. Children’s magazines have existed for a long time, but I was intrigued and surprised to discover one made for preschoolers. Dot is a creative magazine for children up to age six, with each issue focusing on a topic that may interest them. Like Anorak, the space issue includes information about the universe, a short story,

The Chinese sayings “A habit formed at three lasts until eighty” and “You can see what someone will be like as an adult at age three, and what they will be like in old age at age seven” explain well that human behavior patterns form in early childhood. Early childhood has a lasting influence throughout a person’s life, and its importance cannot be overstated. Design education for young children can develop their problem-solving skills and, by helping them use beauty in everyday life, nurture

Space is something most children are curious about. It is still an unknown realm that humans do not fully understand, and because space travel has not yet become commonplace, it seems like a place that sparks the imagination. I wondered what I could tell children about space and found some ideas in this book. At school, we often learn about space by memorizing planet names for tests, but young children do not need to take tests yet, and that approach should be avoided if we want them to enjoy

This book is described as a creativity magazine for young children from the UK. I think this is already volume 7, but I’m only just discovering it now. It says “Space Story... The Space...,” and the cover shows a very cute little astronaut baby (?). There must really be beautiful, lovely stars like that in space...! The baby astronaut’s name is Dot. Beyond the sky, space has many planets, including Venus, Mercury, Earth, and Mars, and the book briefly introduces their names and characteristics.

My 36-month-old has recently become very interested in the sun and moon. I wanted to teach them about space, but other books seemed a little difficult to read to a three-year-old. Then I found Dot Magazine issue 7, which is about space. As you would expect from an art magazine for ages 3–6, its cute illustrations and vivid colors immediately caught my child’s eye. They grabbed it, saying they wanted to open it themselves first. 🤣 The magazine is full of fun activities such as crafts, drawing,

I was looking for an easy way to explain space to my child and discovered Dot Magazine: Space Story. The cute illustrations and short, concise explanations were easy for my 29-month-old to follow and got them completely absorbed in space! I want to let people know that books are great, but excellent magazines are great, too, for introducing children to a range of topics. I highly recommend it!
