The book scientifically observes how the characteristics of fear work on the human body. Throughout 16 chapters, a series of physiological characteristics are identified in human brains and blood vessels, the heartbeat of the heart, the breathing, the tremors and fears, the facial and eye expressions of the forehead, and so forth. Each chapter describes in detail how the various methods of testing and scientific measurements of the mother's head were being made and tested. The author, who was particularly interested in the brain, created a scientific process of studying the brain's behavior that was vaguely estimated by the use of the first blood - blood - test - for the brains of patients with physical damage in their skulls. His experimental research has progressed to new instruments to track blood flowing from hand, foot and arm to brain. Chapter 5 introduces the process of producing direct scales for the study of blood circulation to determine the changes in the blood flow of the brain. His colleagues who came to the lab would lay down on this scale, checking the blood changes during the rest of the brain and during the activity. According to this scale, the saying of the 'cold hand, hot breast' is a result of excitement, a metaphorical expression of the cooling of the hands as the blood goes from limbs to hearts. That is, the physiological misunderstandings and truths of the body as we know it, about brain activity, breathing and pulse, muscle movements, blood flow changes in hands and feet, and so forth.
