Ambrose: The duties of the clergy

St. Ambushius, bishop of Milan, is a Church Father devoted to the rights and social justice of the social weak in defending religious freedom and authority against the unjust power of the royal court in ancient Christianity. His character and learning also had a decisive effect on Augustine's mind, both of whom are respected as the fourth Western Church Fathers.
