A cleverly constructed maze of a novel; the world of mystery is intriguing.
It's fun and fascinating.
The beginning can be a little dull, but the ending is truly astonishing. I don’t understand the people who criticize it. It may not be the best ever, but I think it is well worth reading.
At first I wasn’t sure about it, but it got more and more fun and intriguing! I can’t wait to see it on Netflix, too!
It flies by and is so exciting!
Why are they making this into a Netflix show? It was so boring that it was a struggle to finish.
I like mystery novels and have borrowed plenty, but this is the first one I’ve bought. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ll start as soon as my exams are over. Even the plot sounds fun!
You know how it is. When I meet new people, I feel that they are about to disappear, that I am witnessing their final moment. I don’t know if it’s an inferiority complex or what, but I wonder whether all the insults and labels like “lumber baron,” which stir up hatred of a new industry, are a ploy by aristocrats clinging to their straw-thin power. Damage from an accident is what steals your time. For example, if some idiot kept a flowerpot on a lacquered table, you would have to strip the stain
“A novel like a carefully constructed maze” is exactly right. I hear a Netflix adaptation has been confirmed, and I think it would be fun to watch. #GiftedBook I thought I knew who the killer was, but new family secrets kept emerging, leaving the culprit and ending uncertain 😵💫. I was a little disappointed that so much information suddenly poured out at the end, but it was gripping and fun to read. #AHouseWithoutChildren #AlexAhndoril #FilmPublishing
A friend recommended it, so I bought it. I like fiction, and I had fairly high expectations because this novel is famous enough to be adapted by Netflix. Usually, high expectations lead to disappointment, but I loved it all the way through its satisfying ending. The translation was clear, so nothing felt confusing or difficult, and the story flowed perfectly. The packaging was neat, and I love the green color, so I’m delighted with it!

The story begins when Per Gunter, who runs the long-established timber conglomerate Mannheim Group, visits detective Julia. Overnight, Per has become a murder suspect because a photo of a corpse was found on his phone. But he says he was drunk and asleep when the picture was taken and remembers nothing. It is also difficult to identify the man in the photo or determine where it was taken. Per invites Julia to the Mannheim estate, where he was staying on the day of the crime. Everyone who was there that day gathers again in one place… Can Julia uncover the truth and identify the killer?
