Ahn Sang-hoon et al.: The Dual Structure of Korean Society and Life-Cycle Inequality
Existing studies on inequality in our society have focused primarily on income inequality. The current landscape has been characterized by a accumulation of fragmented diagnoses and prescriptions, failing to address the "situational complexity" of the problems unfolding before our eyes or the "sustainability" of the welfare state. *The Dual Structure and Life-Cycle Inequality of Korean Society* aims to differentiate itself from existing research in three respects. First, it focuses on the multidimensional intertwining of inequality issues in Korean society. Second, it utilizes the concept of dual structure as an analytical framework—a lens to capture the sustained and structured consequences of inequality patterns. Third, to maintain academic conciseness while analyzing the complex reality of inequality and dual structure, the study examines the problem situation by dividing it into life-cycle perspectives.
